Yom Kippur

Atonement is a very spiritual human quality and Godly action.  When I think about it, I think about forgiveness.  All of us need forgiveness from time to time.  We all have to forgive others and ourselves at certain times in our lives.  Forgiveness is a very special quality.  Some of us are better at it than others.  For some of us, it takes time to nurture it and develop this capability.  I know there are things that I need forgiveness for.  Some things, I’m still waiting to be forgiven.  So far in my life, I’ve had a pretty easy time with forgiving.  My dad’s mother, my Granny, was the most forgiving person that I’ve ever known.  In the Bible, one of the passages says specifically that forgiveness is DIVINE.  I know my gramma was a divine person.

I love all of you and I wish you all atonement and forgiveness.  The higher power that I was raised to believe in forgives us all.  So I wish you forgiveness, but mostly, I wish you the capacity to forgive.  It’s good for you and the kind of person that you become, for the people that love you.
